DanceTech by Hillary, LLC Rules and Regulations
*No food or drink (other than water) is allowed in the main studio, viewing areas, or public areas. We are fortunate to have picnic benches and seating just outside our entrance, and these areas may be used for eating and drinking.
*No ringing cell phones are allowed for students. Any students carrying cell phones are asked to silence them while in the main studio area. Cell phones are allowed in the viewing areas, but we ask that you keep conversations to a minimum out of courtesy to the other parents and dancers, or take lengthy or loud conversations to the outside seating area.
*We have provided a quiet play area on one end of the viewing aisle. Books and soft toys will be provided. Please return these items to their appropriate areas when you are finished with them, and please make sure that children do not carry them home. Parents shall maintain full responsibility of any children using this area, and shall oversee their play activities at all times.
*Tuition is due by the 1st of each month. We accept checks and cash only. A late fee of $15.00 will be added after the 7th of each month for any unpaid balances. If your account becomes 14 days or more past due (beginning counting on the 1st), students will not be able to return to class until their account is paid in full. Yearly tuition is divided into equal payments for the months of September through May. Tuition is always the same in these months, regardless of the number of classes. (We do not credit those days when the studio is closed for holidays or severe weather. Neither do we charge extra for months with additional classes.) If any classes are cancelled due to an emergency, we will schedule a make-up lesson for another time. Please call the studio number to check for an emergency message regarding weather closings. Only August tuition will be pro-rated.Non-refundable Recital and Registration fees will be due upon registration.Dropped classes will be refunded from date of notification of class dropped after your check clears. There will be a $25 fee for all returned checks.
*Students of all performance classes will participate in our annual recital. This event is not only a very exciting time for our dancers, but it is an integral part of their dance training.Time and place of the recital will be announced when plans are finalized. Recitals will be held locally.Costumes are paid for in advance, and are ordered in November. Costumes will be ordered according to each dancer’s measurements at that time. Complete instructions will be given if any alterations/additions are necessary. Class attendance is extremely necessary for each dancer’s growth and progression.
*Perfect Attendance Certificates will be awarded for each class following our dress rehearsal each year. Your name will be entered into a drawing for each certificate awarded. Scholarships and prizes will be awarded for the winners of this drawing.
