DRESS CODE
Dance Attire :
Please stop by "Costumes and Dance Wear" and mention your studio's name when purchasing dance attire. They will make sure your purchases are up to studio requirements.
Dancers are better able to enjoy and participate in their classes if they are dressed appropriately and are present and ready for class on time.
All long hair should be pulled back into a bun or ponytail. No loose jewelry, such as necklaces.
Girls: leo,tights,fitted dance/ballet shorts,fitted cami tank are the appropriate attire for dance training. Colors may be of your own choosing. If you also are enrolled in Acrobatics, you may want to buy “convertible” tights, which are interchangeable with your Ballet, Tap and Jazz attire.
Ballet – Ages 3-4 – Only Ballet skirts that are permanently attached to the leotard are allowed. You may incorporate short ballet skirts, fitted dance shorts that allow a clear view of the leg and foot positioning.
Boys: Young boys should dress in solid color stretch shorts with elastic waistbands and a solid color T-shirt (tucked in). Older boys may use jazz pants with solid color T-shirt (tucked in).
*Acro – Tights should be “convertible” or footless. Leotards, biketards and fitted jazz shorts are also acceptible. No skirts. No bare legs.
*Hip-Hop – t-shirt and shorts-no tennis shoes allowed! No skirts. (Company members may be required to obtain additional leotards and tights for performances and convention codes.)

Ballet – For girls, pink ballet shoes (must be pink in order to match for recital. Boys – black canvas shoes. Canvas ballet shoes are required for ages 10 and up.
Jazz – Beige slip-on jazz shoes.
Modern/Lyrical – Beige slip-on jazz shoes.
Pointe – Pink pointe shoes. (These must be fitted professionally. Ask us for details).
Tap – Beige tap shoes. (Black tap shoes may be worn in the studio, but beige shoes will be required for recital).
